Niu Tupenu

​Tupenu is the Tongan term for a wrapped garment.

To be fair, this is obviously a wall tapestry :) But it's so much more. Items from this artist are already selling, including the wall tapestry which some customers are folding, and then wrapping around the waist to wear as a tupenu when helping at events or visiting family members.

"Tiliti" is the newest design, and you can see that JT da Artist did something special with this art piece. Tiliti is a Tongan word that means "treaty", and the design emphasizes the words "peace" on the left corner and "treaty" on the right corner.

When not in use, hang up the tupenu as a wall tapestry.
