The law topic of evictions is a dark secret in the Pacific Islander community of the U.S. Many feel ashamed and embarrassed having lost homes and a sense of safety.
But in our original islander law podcast, we feel we should tackle the subject head on, discuss its impact on our community, and free ourselves from the stigma. Although we do not offer legal advice, we bring our law school education and experience to review the movie "Saia's Promise," assess tenant's rights and remedies, and describe the impact on our families.
